Birthday Blessings

It's so good to be back! I have a few days break before my daughter and her husband come in for a few days and then they are off to Hawaii and I'm left with their doggy to take care of. She's a sweetie so it shouldn't be too bad. I just need to do my job and spoil her rotten - that's what grandmas are for, right? Here is another card in a set I recently made for a friend. The designer paper does most of the work. There are 2 different prints with a ribbon between them. The stamp is one of my favorites by Wordsworth. This set has all simple cards that are easy to mail and quick to make.
Hope everyone is safe from all the flooding on the east coast. What a mess but at least it's not as bad as they had predicted.
Happy Stamping!

Thinking of you

I made a set of 4 cards for a gift. These all went together pretty quickly because the designer paper did most of the work. I just stamped a sentiment and added some ribbon. I will post one a day since I know I won't be doing much stamping this next week with company here. The papers are all from a pad by K & Company. I've had the pad several years so it's been around awhile. The sentiments were just stamped and cut with Spellbinder's dies. The ribbon here is silk ribbon which I love so much. It's so easy to work with and very elegant. I added a scallop-edge border from the reverse side of the paper.
Hope you are enjoying your last days of summer. Some of the districts here in Colorado Springs are already back in school. I don't think our area goes back until the 25th. And they get a whole week of vacation at Thanksgiving! Wow, I think that is awesome! My kids never had a whole week and they were each in 11 or 12 schools as they were growing up! (military loved to move us around!) Have a great day!

Miss you

I made this card last week and never got it posted. I have a dear friend who sent me a special package this past week. It was a GORGEOUS set of dresser scarves (that's what I call them) that she got from her home town in Greece. They are lavishly embroidered and have beautiful 3D roses on them made with ribbon. I just love them and they go so well in my house. So, this card is for her and I know she will love it. I just wish I had a cute chicken instead of a cow but I don't, so this will have to do. She has chickens and would always give me fresh eggs!
This cow stamp is by Great Impressions and is just so cute! The sentiment is by SU (I think!). The papers are from a pad by My Mind's Eyes called Lime Twist.

CAS130 MERRY MERRY MERRY

I tried a Clean and Simple Challenge on SCS today. Not too shabby for very few embellishments! The reindeer is by Crafty Clear Stamps and the sentiment is Hero Arts.
If you have an Archiver's near you...hope you took advantage of their 40% off stamps sale (Monday only). We have one here in Colorado Springs so I was thrilled. I think they probably sold out of all their stamps in an hour though!!! They were going fast! I wish they had as many in the store as they do on their website. There are some awesome new ones on there that I would love to get my inky hands on!
To heck with cleaning the house...have a crafty fun day like me! I even have company coming in and crafting is the last thing I should be doing!!! The crafting bug is back in me!

Lighthouse birthday card

I got some new stamping things and needed a few cards for upcoming birthdays so knew I had to get busy before I have lots of company arriving in the next several weeks. Here is a lighthouse birthday card I made using Webster papers. Their papers are all so gorgeous and really MAKE the card. I just stamped a verse from Verve stamps. The ribbon is from Sharon Johnson - No Time to Stamp blog. Here is a link. She has wonderful collections of papers and ribbons and I get all of my silk ribbons from her. I got my idea for this card from her blog but I made many changes to it. Hope you have a great week!

cc334 Happy Barkday!

A quick card for todays color sketch challenge on SCS. We were to use turquoise, white and gray and a die cut. So, this is my card using Paper Smooches stamps. The die cut is by Spellbinders and the fence is Martha Stewart. How simple is that and just what I needed to get back into the swing of things!!!

Another Inky Antics card!

Hope your summer day is going well! I'm back with another Inky Antics card. I seem to need lots of get well cards lately so now that I have one on hand...I won't need them anymore! So, here she is...such a cutie. Some new papers here by Authentique in the Splendid collection! I did do a little machine sewing on the pink border since I have my sewing machine set up for all the window treatments I'm working on. The border punch is by Martha Stewart as well as the white fan punch at the bottom of the card. The inside of the card uses the Honey Pop paper for the flower. I did a bit of airbrushing with a pale green.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!
