Wild about you!

This is a card I made for a challenge on SCS shown here. I loved the color combination and thought I would use some new stamps I had laying around by Dee Gruenig. This is her Jungle Set. I colored them with her Marvy markers and then stamped the images and cut them out. The background is a SU stamp and the sentiment is by Paper Salon. The edges of the DP by Basicgrey is made using a Martha Stewart punch. I love this punch!. The hearts are buttons in those small packages at Michael's. Hope they stay on! They were an afterthought and are just glued on with some heavy duty glue - guess we will find out how heavy duty it is!

Graduation card

This is my first graduation card for the season and is also a MOJO80 challenge. I always try to find a way to make a card using a challenge that will be sent out in the near future. I did the personalization with my JustRite stamps. The stamp is a House Mouse by Stampabilities. I colored it with Copic markers. You can find the challenge here. Have a wonderful sunny day!

Easter Blessings

I haven't stamped in a few days and it's always hard to get back into the creative mindset when I allow myself to do something silly like that! So, I went to my favorites on SCS and cased this card by Denamidesigns here. I made a few changes to make it mine but loved her idea and have been wanting to use these $1 Michael's stamps for quite some time. There is lots of layering and a bit of Copic coloring but that's about it. I did have to back the back side of the card because the alcohol markers do go through the back. Guess I should have used some of Gina K's heavy duty paper where this won't happen! I just don't happen to have any! Have a great day!

Happy Zebra!

I started working in my stamp room at 7 am this morning because I just couldn't wait to do a black and white card for the "Limited Supplies Challenge" on SCS seen here. I got out my Dee Gruenig stamps again and went to work. The zebra was perfect for this challenge. She is embossed to make her stand out a bit more. She is mounted on several layers including a scalloped nestie and a top note die cut. The zebra paper is by Frances Meyer. The "happy" is mounted in a little frame with brads. Hope you like her!!! Have a great weekend!

Easter Money Envelope

I have a friend who needed a card to put money in for her grandsons. This is what I made. There are just layers of cardstock and then a coin envelope attached to one layer. I had to fold the bottom of the envelope under a bit so it would fit the card. The bunny is a $1 stamp and the papers are by SU. I did 3 of these in about 10 or 15 minutes total. I think my son will also get one for Easter. It's so hard to make cards for males and I think this will be great for older teenager boys and my son who is 25. They always seem to appreciate any card that comes with money!

SC221 Challenge

This is another Easter card I made for a challenge on SCS. It was a sketch challenge that can be found here. The stamps are by Penny Black. The DP is by Best Creations and SU. The image is also popped up with dimensionals. The Easter eggs on the sentiment are by Judith.

TLC213 Mini Easter Basket

This was a challenge on SCS that was so much fun to make! I downloaded the template and printed it on the back of my papers so the marks would not show. I cut and folded and it was pretty much done. The DP is by Chloe Marie and the yellow is by Bazzill and SU. I reinforced the handle with a yellow backing and trimmed it with my scallop scissors. This is a tiny basket but perfect for little gifts for friends! Have fun!

It's a jungle out there...

This is a card I did for the MojoMonday challenge. I embossed the zebra (Dee Gruenig stamp) and the sentiment(stamps by Judith) with black "ZING" embossing powder. The DP is some old Frances Meyer paper I've had for over 15 years! I'm digging into my old stash lately!!! The edge of the black paper is punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The zebra is popped up with dimensionals. This will make a nice birthday card for one of my many nephews who have upcoming birthdays. Have a great day!

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday!

Another Easter card but it's a fun one! I made a pocket card and used lots of different techniques and tools. The edging of the pocket is punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The tag that comes out of the pocket is topped with DP by K & Co.. The bunny is a $1 stamp from Michael's and so is the "hippity hop" under the bunny. I put a piece of green cardstock on the inside of the pocket and stamped "Happy Easter" on it so when the bunny is pulled out of the pocket, there is a greeting. The other floral DP is by Heidi Grace. I used a couple paper flowers and brads to embellish the front of the card and used an eyelet for the pull ribbon on the tag. The other card is for my dog's babysitter for her birthday. She will just love it. The "westie" is by Sugar Nellie and the other stamp is Yvonne Albritton. Have a great week!

A few birthday cards

Here are a few cards I made a few days ago and never got them posted. The first is for a special friend who raises lots of animals. It is a Penny Black stamp with Penny Lane DP and Bazzill solid card stock. I love the image. I colored it with my Copics.
The second image is a Gorjuss girl by Sugar Nellie. The frame around her is Penny Black. I hope to find many uses for this stamp! The DP is Cloud 9 Design. The cardstock is Bazzill and SU. Have a great weekend!

Fun stuff!

I picked up some wood plaques at Michael's for .29 each and decided to play! I painted them and then had fun decorating them. They were pretty simple to do with lots of papers and embellishments.

Spring cards

Two more cards for Easter. The Gorjuss girl by Sugar Nellie was fun to color. She is sitting on a wall and is joined by a friend. The Swiss Dots background is punched in the corners. I believe the DP is by Best Creations...the name is on the back and is taped down. The second card is a Penny Black stamp I just got. The spring egg stamp is a Paper Salon stamp. Papers are by Imaginisce and SU. A few dimensionals are used to pop the images.

Spring is here...

At least in Phoenix! It is a gorgeous day today - as usual! I had to take about 30 minutes from my stamping time and go sit by the pool and enjoy the warm temps outside. I think it is supposed to be 78 today and I think it made it. Beautiful! Anyways...this is my card for the day. I just got the new spring Magnolia collection yesterday and had to try one of them out. Isn't she a cutie with her basket of fresh picked flowers! I used an embossing folder for the background. The papers are old and have been in my stash awhile but seemed to work well for this.

Have a great day!

Happy Easter!

I had to get a break away from working on our taxes so this was what I did. The stamp is by Dee Gruenig and was colored with Marvy markers and then spritzed with water to give the watercolor effect. The edges were done with a stipple brush and a SU ink pad. The sentiment is by Paper Salon and the DP is by Best Creation and is so "springy". The edging is done with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and a punch. Thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Easter!

Today was one of those days where the creative juices just did not want to flow!!! It just wasn't a good day for crafting. Yesterday, I couldn't stop the creative juices from flowing...but not today! What a difference a day makes. Well, I finally came up with another Easter card. It was tough but I did it! These are Penny Black stamps. When I was almost done coloring, I got out the green to do the grass and a bit of ink splattered on the lamb's eye. Well, that's just too bad!!! I'm not doing it over again...maybe tomorrow! The white is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The decorative paper is by Best Creation. It is a really cute print. Hope you have a better day than I had!!!

DAD birthday card

This is a card I made for a sketch challenge on SCS. I was looking for another male birthday card idea and when I saw the sketch I knew one of my SU truck stamps would work well for this. It was a pretty simple card to make. I think the hardest part was finding some navy colored paper to go with the checks! Blues are tough! And I really don't have many navy sheets so this was made from some scraps and worked well. The "DAD" is actually brads that I've had forever. The reversed side of the checks is the base for the design. Have a great day!

Birthday Book

This is another birthday book I made and had so much fun doing it. The paper is from a stack called Pretty Poppies by Autumn Leaves. I used various stamps and verses off the computer . I made pockets and a viewmaster card page as well as a waterfall page so there is lots of activity going on in this 8 x 8 book. I used my bind-it-all to put it all together and ribbons to embellish the coils.

A few new cards...

from a few new stamps! The first card is from a Sugar Nellie stamp. Th nautical card is a Yvonne Albritton Design and the last card is a Magnolia stamp. They were all colored with Copic markers. There are dimensionals on all to help pop the images. Thanks for looking!
