Mother's Day Place Cards

Here are some place cards I have been working on for Mother's Day.  I will have a house full of company so I always like to do something special for those occasions.  My table will be decorated with lots of pink to honor the Moms as well as our granddaughter on her baptismal day.  These were made with Memory Box stamps and dies that were made especially for Simple Pleasures last year for their anniversary celebration.  I have stamped and cut 2 of each hummingbird for added dimension which you can not really see in the picture.  The centers of the flowers are also stamped and cut out twice.  The placecards are by Sizzix and the nametag is a Spellbinders die.  I added a few pearls to the medallion in the center.
And now I'm on to my next project...baptismal announcements!  Happy crafting!

The most adorable little girl...

My local stamp store posted these adorable little girl stamps on their FB page a few days ago and I knew I needed to get to the store to get my little hands on them.  And it is just a good thing I went today because they are selling like hotcakes!  They are big stamps of the most adorable little girls.  The stamps are by Julie Nutting.  I think it is a new company.  She also has the tags in a pad to go with the girls so I couldn't pass those up either!  I have stamped the girl image on cardstock and cut it out.  Then I have stamped the image on a few DP's and cut them out so it is like paper dolls!  I added some embellishments from my stash.  How cute is that!
So I really need to get back on track and work on some baptismal announcements for Mother's Day!  Fun fun!  We'll see what I can come up with!  Happy crafting!

Happy Mom,s Day

Time seems to be flying by me...way too fast!!!  I think I only have Mom's Day cards and one birthday card this month...so maybe there is hope!  Here is one that I have done!  The papers and center floral diecut are by Melissa Frances.  They actually came in a kit by Becca Feeken.  She always provided lots of extra papers so I am using them.  These are especially beautiful papers too!  The dies used here are designed by Becca for Spellbinders.  The stamp is currently hiding from me so can't give you the manufacturer!  Need to do some serious cleaning around here!  Not sure when it will happen but hopefully soon!
We may be doing my sweet granddaughter's baptism in 2 weeks (when I have a house full) so I am trying to get my daughter's christening gown cleaned and repaired so Aubree can wear it.  I made it for Brittany 26 years ago so the elastic in the sleeves has pretty much died.  I think it will be so special for her to wear it and then maybe I can make another one for the next child that comes along.
Hope you have a great week of crafting!  I hope to get in a few more projects too!!!  We'll see how that goes!

Diecut Barettes!

Yes, I'm still around!!!  I know it's been over a month since I last posted!  I just have not had time to work in my craft room much lately.  Lots of other things going on around here and a new grandbaby to play with!  But, here is a fun project I worked on last month.  These are all dies by Papertrey Ink.  I just cut everything out of felt and added a few stitches here and there.  The card that they are attached to are also by Papertrey Ink.  I stamped them with PI stamps and also SU stamps.  It will probably be awhile before Aubree will get to wear these but my time seems to be so limited lately so I need to do things when I can!  I have a houseful of company coming for most of May so I won't be around then either!  Have a fun day!

Graphic 45 box

Here is a gift box I made using my favorite papers - Graphic 45.  I just cut various colors and stripes from the papers and glued them on.  The fruit is also cut out and popped up with dimensionals.  I added a silk flower to the top of the box.  Quick and easy...just like I like!

Time to Celebrate

I'm back with a Spellbinders 3D Embossed card.  This is made with one of their new folders.  I rolled ink onto the folder with a brayer.  I then embossed the cardstock.  Then I chalked the flowers and the butterfly.  I embossed another piece of cardstock to cut the banner out and popped it up with dimensionals.  The stamp I used for the sentiment is by Rubber Stampede.  It  just happened to fit the banner size!
Hope you have a crafty week!

Spellbinders Corsage

My church craft group made these beautiful corsages this month and they really are quick and easy!   You can use your Spellbinders floral dies to cut the fabric too!!!  How cool is that!  So this was made with one base floral diecut.  Then you will need 8 more of various fabrics pieces cut into the same size and shape.  These were made from upholstery swatches from those books at furniture stores, upholstery shops etc.  Then you just fold each flower into quarters and attach to the base flower.  There will end up being 2 layers of 4  flowers that have been folded into quarters.  You will overlap the second layer so that it lays over the seams of the first layer.  Hope that makes sense.  I think you do paper flowers this way too...I just have never done it before!  You will need to tack down the centers of each quarter flower.  Add a button or other embellishment to the center.  I have a metal pin on the back.  My flower is very fluffy.  If you use a thin cotton fabric, you may want to do more layers.  These really are gorgeous on and evidently they sell for big bucks in England and even here in the good ole USA!  We only had one Big Shot at the craft meeting so I hand cut all my flowers.  Some of these ladies didn't know how to use a Big Shot so having to wait for each lady to cut 9 flowers....well you know how long I would have been there!!!

I hope you have a fun weekend!  Mine is crammed full of fun things so I'm excited!
